ps4 won’t be released until 2016 at the earliest
sony has given a 10 year lifespan for the ps3
it’s fully upgradeable so it won’t be obsolete any time soon

PS3 has got at least another 4 – 5 years before the next generation picks up.

so September is a good time to buy, Sony announced price cuts for the PS3 as well.

so its a very good time to but a PS3, and we’re seeing a boom in games as well, this is where they pick up, developers know how to use all the power the PS3 has.

So yeah, good choice man :)

Yeah i agree PS3 won’t be phase out soon and PS4 won’t be out till 2015 as Sony stated that PS3’s lifespan will get extended. it is great when you are getting it in september because most of the most awaited game’s won’t be out till Nov. Oct. and so on like Assassin Creed 2 / Uncharted 2 / Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2.

If you will get now it’s like there no new game’s unless you will be gettin Madden NFL 10 which is due on this August or Sept. and if you get now it’s like you’re discounting one month warranty and it’s good to get it later when Sony announce a price cut.

I say you will still gettin it but LATER! it’s still you’re decision………..

Ps4 will be at earliest 2016 or 2017
it’s a good time because there is price cut rumor(still rumor) in August.
try to buy the fat one as the slim ( if released) will have less features.
why ps4 will be at earliest 2016 or 2017 ?
because sony said they will give the ps3 10 years life span
so ps3 was released in December 2006 in japan while march 2007 in europe .
also the ps3 hasn’t reached it’s limit while the xbox 360 had
ps3 games uses about 40% of the ps3 power except these two
exclusives mgs4,killzone 2 ( they use about 55%)
so it’s a great idea to buy ps3
also ps3 will have a lot of exclusives coming in late 2009 or early 2010 like uncharted 2 ,MAG( 256 players online on same map on same server ,really) also the best game for 2010 which is God of war 3
e-mail me if you have any trouble
have a nice day

Wait for November. In Thanksgiving and Black Friday, PS3 prices will drop down. So that would be a perfect time to buy a PS3.

Experts only eh? Okay.

September is a good time to think about buying a PS3. I’ll tell you why. It’s being rumoured that Sony have big plans for August. If you wait until August, you might get something good! They MIGHT announce more stuff about the PSP-Go! or the PS3. Or a PS3 Slim. Or there might not anything to announce.

No PS4 just yet. Sony always say their consoles fall into a 10 year life span. Which means the PS3 may have a new brother – the PS4 – in 2016.

Don’t sit and wait for a PS4! Take what the PS3 has to offer and own the ONE OF THE BEST next gen consoles!

Get one. Now.

If you’ve noticed, there’s been a recent price cut. They’re only $350 right now. I got one for $700 in early 2008. Don’t worry about an upcoming PS4. We only have had the PS3 for about 2 years. It could easily be another 3 or 4 before Sony even ANNOUNCES a PS4. Even if it does come out sooner, it will be upwards of $900, and will only have a small community will a handfull of games. The PS3 is in its prime. Tons of exclusives, online store, free internet capabilities(Unlike Xbox), other features such as a photo gallery, avatar-based interactive chat rooms, blu-ray player, up to 120 GB’s of hard-drive space, and much more. The only I think could improve the status of the PS3 would be something equivalent of Microsoft Points on the Xbox.

So, yeah, get one. You’ll be sorry if you don’t.
