Linux cannot run 3Dmark since it is DirectX based, it has to be run on windows. And as for PS3, it was actually out of date the day it came out, Since Sony took for ever to release it. Its graphics are based on Nvidia’s 7900series chips with only Dx9.0 support, and by the time Ps3 showed up Nvidia had there 8800series out, which we all know broke records and had DX10 support. Since the Ps3’s release date Nvidia have released 3 different series of cards 8 series, 9 series and the GTX200 series. I think its time for Sony to call ps3 a failure and start on the Ps4 and get it out quickly this time, since were already seeing lags in ps3 gaming performance.. and as it goes for Ps3 Cell processor, its also outdated by Core 2 Duo’s Quad cores and The latest i7. It is also outdated by AMD’s attempt with phenom 2..

Hey guys. i was just wondering the other day whether purchasing a ps3 or not is the best idea. sure ps3 is great and everything but im worried that the ps4 will be released shortly after i get the ps3 meaning it will be waste of my money. I really dont wana waste my money please help me out with this guys
